Message in the Music
South
Carolina’s musical talents share their love of music and the special
messages their jazz, old school R&B, hip hop and gospel music conveys in
each note.

It
was another sell-out crowd at the IMARA Anniversary and Scholarship
gala. During the past seven years, IMARA Woman Magazine, with the
support of its sponsors, has awarded more than $22,000 in scholarships
to deserving students attending HBCUs in South Carolina.

Columbia
native Jaque Gotchett, known as Venom by her radio fans, has a lot to be
proud of. She has maneuvered her way through the music industry,
advanced her career in spite of major obstacles, created several avenues
for other business endeavors and added motherhood to her list of
accomplishments.

timeless music that we sing and dance to takes special talent. But where
would we be without the DJs who bring us the music? Meet popular disc
jockey, “DJ Lord Jazz,” who has an ear for the music we like to hear. |
