Paul and Wendy Brawley,
married for 26 years, share the keys to their success in business, public
service and marriage. The
dynamic husband-and-wife team believe that “Nothing is too hard when you
have your priorities in order.”
In their inspirational
message of loving each other and working together, Paul and Wendy share
their love of God, family and community in a way that will challenge
couples to strengthen their marriage journey by supporting one another’s
dreams.
Paul and Wendy want others to know that “You don’t have to sacrifice
your marriage to follow your dreams, if you are willing to follow them
together.”

Biographical
Sketch
Paul and
Wendy Brawley
Paul and Wendy Brawley own IMARA Communications Group, Inc., which publishes
IMARA Woman Magazine, a lifestyle and personal-growth magazine for women of
color. They met as students at the
University
of
South Carolina
in the mid-’70s. Married now for 26 years, the Brawleys have pursued their
life’s passion of entrepreneurship, and community and public service. They are
the recipients of countless business awards and community service recognitions.
Each holds a Master’s degree in business from
Webster
University
. The Brawleys pride themselves on being principled business owners who are as
committed to God and family as they are to business and public service. Both are
elected officials in South Carolina: Wendy, elected in 2004 to the Richland One School Board, now serves as its
Chairperson. Paul, elected in 2006 as the Richland
County Auditor, is the first African American to ever win a countywide
constitutional elective office in the state’s capital county. The two are
members of St. Phillip AME Church and have two children and one grandchild.
