Following the end of slavery when few historically black colleges existed in the South, Benedict College emerged in 1870 to educate, empower and create economic opportunity for minority students. Today, 136 years later, the college remains true to its mission.	Every year about 10,520 women in the United States get cervical cancer. About 3,900 women die as a result of it. There are several conditions that can lead to cervical cancer; you should know what they are.
